The Archives & Records Center is the latest addition to the services provided by the Gasconade County Historical Society. The ARC is housed in the old Farmers & Merchants Bank building, which was built in 1909.
The ARC goal is to be a one-stop research facility for anyone curious about the lives of citizens of Gasconade County --- past and present. Probate, circuit court, real estate and county commission records, as well as marriage, death, birth, naturalization, military, one-room school, and census records are available at the ARC. In addition, the ARC is building a collection of family histories and genealogies, collections of family papers, newspapers published in the county, files of information on various community topics, as well as general reference materials relating to the area and the state.
