June 5, 1908 – “Hon. Champ Clark will give his lecture, ‘Picturesque Public Man’, at the Presbyterian church in Owensville on Friday night, June 12, commencing at 7:45.
“Mr. Clark enjoys a reputation all over the country as a public lecturer, being called upon to lecture before Chataqua assemblies and the foremost colleges of the land. The lecture will be entirely of a non-political nature so we can all lay aside our political beliefs and disbeliefs and go out and enjoy an intellectual treat. No admission charged and everybody cordially invited.”
