Gasconade County Historical Society Sponsored Christmas 2018 Tablescapes
This video introduces the GCHS recently published book titled “Over the Top” Over Here and Over There. This book is composed entirely of coverage of WWI as reported in Gasconade County’s three newspapers.
"Digging Our Own Dirt" - A Gasconade County Historical Society Speaker Series Presentation focusing on the use of metal detectors for use in the exploration of significant civil war locations for metal artifacts where troops gathered, fought and camped. Presented by: Mike Kisling and Chris Heimsoth.
The presentation titled "Digitizing Missouri's German Heritage" was presented by Caitlin Yager, The Missouri Humanities Council Director of Heritage Programs, as part of the GC Historical Society's second quarterly membership meeting of CY 2018.
The 2017 GCHS Sponsored Christmas Tablescapes were conducted in the Hermann Rotunda, Hermann Missouri on 2, 3, 9 and 10 December 2017 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. with approximately 500 paying visitors. A highly successful event.
"The Boone Family In Early Missouri"...a presentation given by Cathie Schoppenhorst to members and guests attending the GCHS Quarterly Meeting held on 5 November 2017 at The Swiss Evangelical Reformed Church, Swiss MO.
This Cemetery walk was conducted at St. John's UCC at Stolpe, MO. A total of eight presentations were given in the Church due to inclement weather.
The GCHS Wash House was originally gifted by Anna Rademacher in memory of her parents. Prior to her death, she very generously arranged for its renovation and updating. This video documents the re dedication of The Wash House in her honor.
Old Time Town Baseball in Gasconade County. This presentation was given by Don Kruse on 25 June 2017 as a Speaker Series Presentation.
This presentation was given as part of the GCHS Quarterly Meeting conducted at The United Methodist Church in Rosebud MO on Sunday/12 February 2017.
