Tickets Available for Bicentennial Gala in Gasconade County
This year marks the 200th birthday of Gasconade County, and to observe that bicentennial year a gala celebration is being planned.
On Saturday, March 28, the Courthouse Rotunda in Hermann will be the site of this special occasion that will kick off the bicentennial of our county. The social gathering will start at 6 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are now being sold for the celebration, and is open to everyone.
Tickets are $25 per person and space is limited. People are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance. They can be purchased at the Archives & Records Center in Hermann, at Medley Pharmacy on Highway 28 in Owensville, or by calling Jeanne Warden in Owensville at (573) 437-3174 or (573) 619-9074, or Lois Kruse in Hermann at (573) 486-2633.
Reservations including payment by check should be made payable to Gasconade County Historical Society and mailed to the GCHS, P.O. Box 231, Hermann, MO 65041.
Although this will not be a sit-down meal, there will be seating for guests and heavy hors-d'oeuvres will be served along with local spirits. Dress is semi-formal/business casual. A short program will be given.
The event is organized by the Gasconade County Historical Society Board of Directors Bicentennial Committee. The GCHS also intends to bring attention to the 200th anniversary of Gasconade County with other events in 2020.
