Research Request Form
The Gasconade County Historical Society responds to research requests. Typically, research will be completed within 30 to 60 days of receipt of the request. Staff or volunteers conduct the research and their availability varies.
A minimum research fee of $45 is charged for doing general research. On occasion, the requested research is so extensive that the Society must charge an amount greater than $45.00. In that case, the person making the request will be notified of the anticipated further cost before that cost is incurred.
Property research is very time consuming. Beginning June 4, 2025, property research will incur a $50 cost per 50 year time span. For example, tracing 50 years of a property would cost $50 or tracing 100 years of a property would cost $100. The real estate records housed at our facility date from the 1820’s to approximately 1992. Records beyond 1992 are available at the Gasconade County Courthouse.
Photo copies are $1 each for non-members and $.50 each for members. You will receive an invoice once the research is completed.
Requests should be as specific as possible in nature. If requesting property research, please specify the time frame in which you are interested.
